Tomhannock Reservoir ride
Sunday Kyle, Brian and I headed from Brian’s apartment out east to the Tomhannock Reservoir for an easy 35 or so miles. Apparently we were headed to a Star Trek security guard convention afterwards, what with our red shirts and all.

My Trek 5000 was in the shop getting a tune up, so I had to bust out the ol’ Cannondale with downtube shifters for this ride. I was the only one without carbon fiber. Front tire had a slow leak, too. Groan. I’ve been having lots of problems with tires this year…
Oh, and John Ceceri called me today from Plaine and Son (the shop where said bike is getting a tune up) and the rear wheel is cracked and out of true.
Warning… speed blogging ahead: lots of driving, cracked wheel, order new Campy wheel, vendor delivers, wheel missing from delivery, vendor actually doesn’t have it, new plan, swap Mavic from my old to new bike, pickup both bikes at John’s house at night, in time for 5am ride tomorrow morning.

Wow! Impressive - it seems as if you are going REALLY fast on that descent! Of course, I’m more impressed that you can videotape and not fall off the bike.
