Well, not breakfast, but rather dinner. I liked ‘Breakfast at Denny’s’ better as a title than ‘Dinner at Denny’s.’ Huh, even with the alliteration. Oh well. Isn’t Breakfast at Denny’s a song title?

After a salad, club sandwich and fries (which I only ate half of, good grief, portions are huge!), we walk back out to the car and get buffeted by the cold, cold wind. Um, no running tonight. While the temp is perhaps a degree or two warmer than other times I’ve run, that wind is too much. Later I learned the ‘felt like’ temperature was in the vicinity of -17°. I’m sure Aaron up in Alberta would scoff at me.

The art project.
The deadline is looming larger and larger in my headlights. I keep seeing more and more ideas for it everywhere I look. Recently I saw an ad on the back of a truck for Enviga tea drinks and the art on the cans lit another lightbulb over my head.

I found the perfect spot in my office building for the finished work. There are two alcoves in the 3rd floor stairwell that are just crying out for my creation. It’ll work well splitting it into two pieces–I had been toying with that idea even before deciding on the final location.

Eight is a big, big number at my company. Everything revolves around eights. So, splitting my project into two groups of four works nicely. Six would have been nicer. I like the number six, too. And it would have been less work. But alas not.

Intrigued yet? I’ll try and take ‘in progress’ photos as I go. But I’m not promising anything. I should probably leave it to the grand unveiling…
